Candle Care information

-When lighting for the first time, burn the candle until the wax melts across the entire surface to the sides of the jar (this prevents tunneling, and creates an even burn for the duration of the candle’s ‘life’). This may take up to 2-3 hours.

-After the initial burn, trim the candle wick ¼ of an inch to promote an even burn, and to prevent the wick from "mushrooming".

-Please keep the wax pool free of wick trimmings, matches and debris at all times.

-Extinguish a candle if it smokes, flickers, or the flame becomes too high. These signs indicate the candle is not burning properly and the flame isn't controlled. Let the candle cool, trim the wick, and then check for drafts before re-lighting.

-Stop burning the candle when there is 1/4 inch of wax left in the candle jar.

-Do not burn the candle for longer than four hours at a time; this will prevent your candle from overheating.

-Size does matter! Medium size candles (10-14 oz) with one wick are appropriate to burn for medium-sized rooms, such as a bedroom or office.

-Always keep a lit candle within your sight, and away from drafts.
